TOPGOLF SERVES UP ‘NEW COURSES’ FEATURING NEW SIGNATURE MENU
Dynamic Golf Entertainment Company Readies for Grand Opening of 4th U.S. Location
CHICAGO, IL (May 3, 2011) — TopGolf, one of the most innovative entertainment concepts in the nation, is primed to further distance itself from the competition by introducing an all-new menu featuring creative concepts designed by award-winning chef, Erron Star Depew. The new sophisticated yet casual menu will launch this month and be featured at all four US TopGolf locations, including the newest location in Allen, Texas, set to open on May 24.
“This isn’t your daddy’s country club and it’s certainly not a hot dog cart driving range. This is ‘affordable gourmet’ at a full-on entertainment complex,” said TopGolf Executive Chef Erron Star Depew. “We’ve developed every dish in-house, often with direct feedback from our diehard fans, and our new menu highlights unique shareable options that pair perfectly with a bucket of beer or a cocktail, all to be enjoyed while you play TopGolf with your friends.”
Signature Menu Highlights:
Mushi – A completely original and innovative spin on sushi. The anti-sushi roll includes succulent creamy chicken wrapped in jalapeno-cheddar tortillas, served with –Sriracha sauce and avocado.
Brisket Chili – A Texas State Fair favorite! Originally created and perfected at the Dallas TopGolf location, our Texan-style, gluten-free brisket chili is sure to be a hit at every TopGolf location.
California Burger – An 8-oz Angus-grade burger topped with fresh avocado, red onion and basil pesto aioli.
Depew serves as Executive Chef for all four TopGolf US locations (Chicago, Alexandria, VA, Dallas and Allen, TX). After studying culinary arts in California’s famed Sonoma County, home to Thomas Keller’s French Laundry, considered by many to be one of the top-10 restaurants in the world. Chef Depew’s career has led her to kitchens around the globe and her “rustic home style” approach to cooking is showcased in the new TopGolf menu.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for us,” said Susan Murphy, TopGolf’s Director of Marketing. “We’re setting expectations much higher with our new menu. Eating and drinking is a vital part of any entertainment experience and that’s especially so at TopGolf because our fans come at all times of the day and night. Our newest facility opening in Allen has a massive kitchen, and features three separate bars, so the possibilities are really endless.”
TopGolf Allen, will open to the public on May 24, and will feature over 65,000 sf. of games, food, drink, sports and music, as well as 5000 sf. of private event space for group rentals. The Allen location will feature all-new technology and be located about thirty minutes from downtown Dallas.
For the uninitiated, TopGolf is built around microchips embedded into regulation golf balls which players hit unrestricted onto a range consisting of ten different targets. Player points are tallied automatically based on distance and accuracy and are displayed on touch-screen monitors in private hitting bays that accommodate up to six people, complete with food and drink service.
TopGolf is a dynamic entertainment facility that combines the basic elements of golf with cutting-edge technology to create an easy-to-play game for players of all experience levels. Players compete in private hitting bays that accommodate up to six people and include food and drink service, or in private event spaces for larger groups. TopGolf is open year-round and has facilities in the Washington DC, Chicago and Dallas markets. For additional information visit TopGolf.com.
