Innovative Entertainment Complex Set to Launch New Web Site, Menu 

Alexandria, VA (May 3, 2011)—Serious golfers have long taken winter refuge at TopGolf, but as spring weather beckons and the drama of the 2011 PGA Masters showcases the start of the season, less serious duffers take to the range as well for food, drink and laughs.  Though Alexandria’s premier golf entertainment facility has been open since 2005, it retains a kind of cult following that continues to grow steadily by word-of-mouth from its devoted fans.

“Springtime is when everyone gathers for us,” said TopGolf Director of Operations Bob Dodson.  “You’ve got your hardcore players trying to shake the rust of their swing.  You’ve got your weekend warriors who want to cure their cabin fever with a few beers with the guys.  Plus families on spring break stay-cations.  And I think everyone is motivated by the action and drama at the Masters.”

With the momentum and entertainment renown of TopGolf on the rise, the company which has existing facilities in Chicago and Dallas and will soon open its largest site to-date in Allen, TX, is re-launching its brand, a new web site and a seasonal menu.

“We’ve reached a certain level of appeal now that how our fans think about us needs to be expressed more in our branding,” said Susan Murphy, TopGolf’s Director of Marketing.  “Our unique, technology-driven golf game offers instantaneous feedback for the serious golfer and hours of entertainment for the casual player looking for fun on a Friday or Saturday night. The new web site and marketing materials will better reflect the TopGolf experience.”  The web site and menu are scheduled to launch in late April.

The menu at TopGolf also backs up the claim that ‘this isn’t your daddy’s driving range.”  Instead of a hotdog cart and flat soda, the newly expanded kitchen at the Alexandria site will launch a spring time menu featuring “affordable gourmet” selections such as:

–        an 8-oz California Burger topped with avocado, red onion and basil pesto aioli

–        a thin-shaved Sirloin Cheesesteak with onions, peppers and a house-made Queso

–        TopGolf’s signature Sweet Potato Fries with chipotle aioli

–        homemade Strawberry Mint Sangria and Tropical White Sangria with pineapple juice and a hint of cinnamon


TopGolf is an innovative entertainment facility that uses computer microchips embedded in regulation golf balls to create an interactive game for both the hard-core and first-time golfers.  Players earn points passed on distance and proximity to 10 different targets.  The TopGolf entertainment complex, open year round, includes a restaurant, bar, 36-hole miniature golf course, custom club fittings and professional lessons.
